With their third album, Wrang once again prove that uncompromising aggression and genuine conviction can still go hand in hand. In an era where absolutely everything is placed under a microscope and every form of expression is endlessly dissected, Wrang simply chooses to do what they do best: create harsh, honest, and completely unfiltered music.
The band proudly throws a solid piece of Dutch glory onto the cover artwork, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. No forced nuance, no artificial controversy, just pure attitude that perfectly matches the spirit of the record itself. Fuck all the endless complaining; sometimes it is simply time for a dose of well-written aggression, a relentless barrage of noise with its heart firmly in the right place.
Assisted by Revenant (Order of Nosferat, Sarkrista) and Carchost (Helleruin), who also handled the album’s mixing and mastering duties, Valr and Galgenvot once again manage to deliver a more stubborn and distinct form of Dutch Black Metal on this release.
With these six tracks, including the epic closing piece Bijtebauw, Wrang proves once again in 2026 why they remain one of the most relevant names within the Dutch Black Metal scene. The razor-sharp riffing, constant tempo shifts, and thunderous drumming grab you by the throat from the very first moments. The band masterfully blends aggression, atmosphere, and melody into an ice-cold listening experience that drops you straight above the Zuiderzee into dark, freezing waters without mercy.
Wrang demonstrates that Black Metal is not solely about raw fury, but also about tension, dynamics, and a suffocating atmosphere that lingers long after the album has ended. The balance between furious passages and ominous, almost hypnotic moments ensures the record never loses momentum. With this release, the band not only reaffirms its own quality, but also highlights how strong and vibrant the Dutch underground scene remains today.
Wrang once again delivers an album drenched in rage, conviction, and craftsmanship. Raw where necessary, thoughtful where possible, but above all honest and sincere. Exactly how extreme music was meant to be.

Met hun derde album bewijst Wrang opnieuw dat compromisloze agressie en oprechte overtuiging nog altijd hand in hand kunnen gaan. In een tijd waarin werkelijk alles onder een vergrootglas wordt gelegd en iedere vorm van expressie tot in den treure wordt geanalyseerd, kiest Wrang ervoor om simpelweg te doen waar de band goed in is: keiharde, eerlijke en ongefilterde muziek maken.
De band knalt zonder schroom een stevig stuk Hollandse glorie op de hoes, en daar is helemaal niets mis mee. Geen krampachtige nuance, geen geforceerde controverse, gewoon pure uitstraling die perfect aansluit bij de inhoud van de plaat. Fuck al dat gezeik; soms is het gewoon tijd voor een pot goed geschreven agressie, een flinke dosis herrie met het hart op de juiste plek.
Bijgestaan door onderanderen Revenant (Order of Nosferat, Sarkrista) en Carchost (Helleruin) die ook maar direct de mix en mastering voor zijn rekening nam weten Valr en Galgenvot ook op dit album weer een iets meer eigenwijze NLBM neer te zetten.
Met deze zes nummers, waaronder de epische afsluiter Bijtebauw, bewijst Wrang ook in 2026 opnieuw waarom ze tot de meest relevante namen binnen de Nederlandse Black Metal behoren. Het messcherpe riffwerk, de constante tempowisselingen en het donderende drumgeweld grijpen je vanaf de eerste tonen genadeloos bij de strot. De band weet op indrukwekkende wijze agressie, sfeer en melodie samen te smeden tot een ijskoude luisterervaring die je zonder pardon boven de Zuiderzee dropt, recht in het donkere, verstikkende water.
Wrang laat horen dat Black Metal niet alleen draait om rauwe furie, maar ook om spanning, dynamiek en een beklemmende atmosfeer die nog lang blijft nazinderen. De combinatie van furieuze passages en dreigende, bijna hypnotiserende stukken zorgt ervoor dat geen moment inzakt. Met deze release bevestigt de band niet alleen hun eigen kwaliteit, maar onderstrepen ze tevens hoe sterk en levendig de Nederlandse underground momenteel is.
Wrang levert opnieuw een album af dat ademt van woede, overtuiging en vakmanschap. Rauw waar het moet, doordacht waar het kan, maar bovenal eerlijk en oprecht. Precies zoals extreme muziek bedoeld is.
