About Galghe
Galghe is a collaboration between J. (nether, Vergankelijk) and P. (Wurgilnō, Corpusculum, Vergankelijk), two battle-hardened veterans of Black Metal who have each been entwined with the genre since the early 1990s. With roots firmly planted in the underground, both have a long history of musical and ideological commitment to the dark art form of Black Metal — not as a genre-bound product, but as a living, breathing, ever-transforming medium.
Galghe refuses to be shackled by conventions or subgenre classifications. While the foundation lies deep in Black Metal tradition — raw, uncompromising, and atmospheric — the project boldly explores its outer limits: from ambient and neoclassical elements to field recordings and ritual sound collage. Nothing is sacred except intent.
J. and P. do not treat Galghe as a band, but as a channel — a spiritual collective in which loss, impermanence, historical reflection, and human tragedy take center stage. Their work is uncompromising and devoid of commercial agenda, born from the necessity to create, to commemorate, and to bear witness.
