Review : Enevelde – Pandemonium Lp

The Norwegian B. Kråbøl doesn’t like to sit still. Besides Enevelde, he is also the mastermind behind Kråbøl and Misotheist. While bands often have to take each other into account, one-man projects have it easier—if you have an idea, you record it and turn it into a song. And he certainly has no shortage of ideas, judging by his new album Pandamonium.

A soundtrack for the end of times— I can’t think of a more fitting description. Relentless Black Metal without a hint of restraint, no surrender, just attack after attack on your eardrums.

Just like the previous album and his other projects, Pandemonium is being released through the Norwegian label Terratur Possessions—a label known for quality releases and one that rarely disappoints.

With a third album and an EP to his name, Enevelde once again maintains the sheer brutality of his previous releases on Pandemonium. From the opening track Grapende Grav, you know exactly what you’re in for—ruthless Black Metal, just as it should be. Short but powerful, the track burrows under your skin with B.’s piercing shrieks.

It flows seamlessly into Nigromantia, where the tempo eases up slightly. A slow-burning Black Metal track with guitars cutting through like a hot knife through butter, accompanied by those hallucinatory vocals that haunt your nightmares.

The title track, Pandemonium, is undoubtedly one of the album’s highlights—what an incredible atmosphere it creates. With Offer, the pace picks up again, driving forward with full force.

Helvete Reiser Seg is another standout, where the heavy production truly shines, delivering an epic sound.

With Pandemonium, you’re getting a true gem—this album does not disappoint.
